WHITE COLLAR CRIMES: COMPUTER CRIME

Presently there are six main types of computer conduct that are prohibited:

• Obtaining confidential national security information by knowingly accessing a computer without authorization.
• Altering, damaging or destroying information of a federal interest computer without authorization.
• Acquiring financial information of a credit card issuer or financial institution by exceeding authorization
• Using a computer of a federal department or agency and affecting the use thereof intentionally without authorization
• Obtaining passwords or similar information through which a computer is accessed and with intent to defraud.
• With intent to defraud, accessing a federal interest computer without authorization and obtaining anything of value.
